It<br>\nis supposed to apply charges starting May 2002.<\/p>\n<p>GPRS is a feature to access data through mobile phones. We all<br>\nknow that the content is limited due to limited content<br>\nproviders. Not many companies want to play in this narrow market.<br>\nConsequently, only a few use the feature although it is free, not<br>\nto mention the slow speed in accessing. I wonder why any<br>\nsubscriber would use it if IM3 applies the charges.<\/p>\n<p>Years ago Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) also failed to<br>\nattract subscribers and basically WAP and GPRS are not that<br>\ndifferent, although GPRS is supposed to be faster.<\/p>\n<p>I am pessimistic that GPRS can be a success. Other GSM<br>\noperators should wisely consider offering this service and see if<br>\nit is feasible compared to the money invested.
