        "content": "<p>Govt told to 'resolve' student shootings<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: Families of victims of the 1998\/1999 student<br>\nshootings urged the House of Representatives on Wednesday to push<br>\nthe government to issue a presidential decree establishing an ad<br>\nhoc human rights tribunal to try the cases.<\/p>\n<p>They criticized the House's complicated mechanism in reviewing<br>\na recommendation by previous House members stating that the<br>\nshootings were not human rights violations.<\/p>\n<p>A House commission agreed in July to review the<br>\nrecommendation, which has stalled the investigation by the<br>\nAttorney General's Office (AGO).<\/p>\n<p>Notification of the agreement was immediately forwarded to the<br>\nHouse's scheduling committee but it is yet to arrange a meeting<br>\nto determine which commission will conduct the review.
