        "content": "<p>Govt told to check 'jamu' producers<\/p>\n<p>SEMARANG: A jamu (herbal medicine) entrepreneur has called on<br>\nthe government to publish the results of its investigation of<br>\nallegations that some producers of herbal and traditional<br>\nmedicines were using fake ingredients, Antara reported.<\/p>\n<p>Hartono Chandra of the Original Indonesian Medicines group<br>\nsaid the investigation had been launched because jamu production<br>\ncontinued in spite of a shortage of some of the required raw<br>\nmaterials.<\/p>\n<p>The Food and Drugs Control Agency at the Ministry of Health,<br>\nwhich conducted the investigation, should publish its findings to<br>\ncomfort the users of jamu and traditional medicines, Hartono<br>\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>He said the shortage of raw materials required in the<br>\nproduction of jamu occurred because the government consistently<br>\nfailed to support the development of herb plantations.
