        "content": "<p>Govt to run labor intensive program<\/p>\n<p>The Jakarta Post<br>\nJakarta<\/p>\n<p>Fighting chronic unemployment, the government will run a labor <br>\nintensive employment program next month.<\/p>\n<p>The program will be implemented in 40 regencies in Central, <br>\nWest and East Java provinces, said Kirnadi, director general for <br>\ndomestic job placement at the Ministry of Manpower and <br>\nTransmigration, on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>He said the program was aimed at reducing the social impact of <br>\nunemployment and the current prolonged drought. Some 38 million <br>\nIndonesians are currently jobless.<\/p>\n<p>Kirnadi said the government had earmarked Rp 6 billion <br>\n(US$750,000) to finance the program.
