        "content": "<p>Govt to delay Telkomsel IPO<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: The Indonesian government said Tuesday it will delay<br>\na plan to divest its stake in cellular phone company PT<br>\nTelekomunikasi Selular Indonesia, or Telkomsel, through an<br>\ninitial public offering (IPO) to next year.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;We won&apos;t do the Telkomsel IPO this year,&quot; Mahmuddin Yasin, a<br>\ndeputy to the Minister of State Enterprises&apos; Affairs told Dow<br>\nJones Newswires.<\/p>\n<p>He said the decision to delay the IPO came after the<br>\ngovernment received a letter from the management of PT<br>\nTelekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom), which owns a 65 percent stake<br>\nin Telkomsel, asking for more time to prepare for the share sale.<\/p>\n<p>Mahmuddin didn&apos;t elaborate.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, the state-owned enterprises ministry told Telkom&apos;s<br>\nmanagement to prepare for the Telkomsel IPO in September or<br>\nOctober.<\/p>\n<p>Singapore Telecommunications Ltd., or Singtel, holds the<br>\nremaining 35 percent stake in Telkomsel.
