        "content": "<p>Govt postpones labor dispute law<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has signed a<br>\nregulation in lieu of law, or Perpu, to delay the implementation<br>\nof a law on labor disputes, as neither the government nor the<br>\nSupreme Court were ready for its implementation.<\/p>\n<p>The Perpu on postponing the enactment of Law No. 2\/2004 on<br>\nlabor disputes was issued last week.<\/p>\n<p>The law mandates the establishment of a court to handle labor<br>\ndisputes, which would replace the Central Committee for the<br>\nSettlement of Labor Disputes (P4P) and the labor dispute<br>\nsettlement committee at the local level (P4D).<\/p>\n<p>According to the law, the court is to consist of career judges<br>\nas well as government, labor and business representatives. -- JP<\/p>",
