        "content": "<p>Govt gears up for MRP establishment<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: As the September deadline draws near, the Papuan<br>\nprovincial government has begun disseminating information to<br>\npublic on the planned establishment of the Papuan People's<br>\nAssembly (MRP).<\/p>\n<p>The MRP, a consultative body to represent the cultural<br>\ninterests of the Papuan people, will start work in September this<br>\nyear.<\/p>\n<p>\"The most difficult part of our task is surely dividing the<br>\nelectoral areas because we're not dividing them by territory but<br>\nby culture. For example, Mimika and Asmat are in different<br>\nterritories, but embrace a similar culture,\" he told reporters.<br>\nThe MRP will have 42 members, which will include three groups of<br>\n14 representatives consisting of cultural leaders, religious<br>\nleaders and women.
