        "content": "<p>\u201cBuilding bridges means connecting hopes,\u201d Cabinet Secretary Teddy\nIndra Wijaya said in a social media post, according to a statement from\nthe Presidential Secretariat received here on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Wijaya stated that the government has targeted the completion of\n2,500 suspension bridges by August 2026. Construction will then be\naccelerated to reach the overall target of 5,000 bridges by the end of\nthe year.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the development of suspension bridges is carried\nout through collaboration between the government, the Indonesian Army\n(TNI AD), and local communities.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the new bridges are built to connect areas that\nhave been separated for years by rivers and difficult terrain.<\/p>\n<p>Through the suspension bridge development program, Prabowo wants to\nrealize connectivity that is faster, safer, and more equitable to the\nremotest parts of Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>Such infrastructure is expected to facilitate community mobility and\nimprove access to education, health services, and other public\nfacilities.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the infrastructure also serves as a supporting means\nfor children in remote areas to reach schools.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor children who must go to school every day, a bridge is not only a\nconnection between two riverbanks.
