        "content": "<p>The initiative is part of the government\u2019s \u201cMSMEs Rise\u201d program,\nDeputy for Medium Enterprises Bagus Rachman said in a statement released\non Friday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe ministry is encouraging these entrepreneurs to reconnect with\nmarkets, expand networks, establish partnerships and improve product\ncompetitiveness,\u201d Rachman said.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition allows coffee entrepreneurs to showcase products to\npotential buyers, business partners and major players in the national\ncoffee industry, he added.<\/p>\n<p>Rachman said MSME recovery after disasters must extend beyond\nemergency assistance through targeted programs that can sustainably\nrestore business operations.<\/p>\n<p>He said coffee is a strategic, high-value industry that creates\nopportunities throughout the supply chain, from farming and processing\nto downstream businesses such as roasteries and coffee shops.<\/p>\n<p>Strengthening the sector is crucial to improving MSME capabilities\nand supporting regional economic growth, he added.<\/p>\n<p>ICX Medan 2026, held from July 31 to Aug.\u00a02 at the Tiara Convention\nCenter in Medan, North Sumatra, features 54 exhibitors.<\/p>\n<p>Participants include MSMEs, coffee farmers, roasters, coffee shops,\nequipment suppliers and other supporting businesses across the coffee\nindustry.<\/p>\n<p>The expo also offers capacity-building programs, including the Local\nFarmer Access Program, coffee cupping sessions, industry education\nprograms and the Indonesia Brewers Cup Regional 3 competition.<\/p>\n<p>North Sumatra was among three provinces affected by major flash\nfloods and landslides in late November 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Related news: North Sumatra records high coffee exports to United\nStates<\/p>\n<p>Related news: RI records potential US$10.8 million in 2026 World of\nCoffee Brussels<\/p>\n<p>Translator: Shofi Ayudiana, Uyu Liman<\/p>",
