        "content": "<p>The North Maluku Provincial Government is strengthening strategic\ncooperation with the Republic of Korea through a meeting between North\nMaluku Governor Sherly Tjoanda and the Republic of Korea\u2019s Ambassador to\nIndonesia, Y.M. Yoon Soon-gu, at the Republic of Korea Embassy Office in\nJakarta on Friday, 17 April 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting discussed several priority sectors deemed potential for\njoint development, ranging from mining, energy, fisheries, to tourism.\nAll cooperation agendas are directed towards the principles of\nsustainable development, value addition, and community welfare.<\/p>\n<p>In the discussion, investments by the South Korean company POSCO,\nwhich is currently involved in developing the nickel processing industry\nthrough a joint venture scheme in the Indonesia Weda Bay Industrial Park\narea, were also addressed.
