Banten Governor Andra Soni inspected the Luwuk-Grewel Village Road
project in Karyajaya Village, Cimarga District, Lebak Regency, Banten.
The road provides access to approximately 200 hectares of rice
paddies.

During the inspection on Friday, 27 February 2026, Andra Soni was
accompanied by Lebak Regent Mochamad Hasbi Asyidiki Jayabaya. The Bangun
Jalan Desa Sejahtera (Bang Andra) programme encompasses a 2.9-kilometre
stretch with a 3-metre width and is funded by the Banten provincial
budget.

Andra and Hasbi reviewed the concrete road, which had previously been
severely deteriorated. Andra walked along the village road situated
amidst the rice paddies.

Andra stated that village road development is aimed at supporting
farmer productivity. According to him, before the road was constructed,
farmers had to pay approximately IDR 10,000 per sack in transportation
costs for their harvested crops.

“With the road now in good condition, farmers no longer need to incur
transportation costs. They can transport their harvested crops
themselves,” said Andra.

Andra noted that the reduction in production costs directly impacts
increased farmer incomes. He emphasised that the Banten provincial
government will continue to promote village road development.

“Hopefully provincial finances improve further so that village road
development can be increased,” he stated.

In the 2026 fiscal year, the Bang Andra programme in Lebak Regency is
constructing 11 road sections, prioritising roads directly related to
food security and community economic activities.

Uswani (50), village head of Kampung Ranca, Karyajaya Village, stated
that the road condition had previously been severely deteriorated,
requiring farmers to hire porters to transport harvested crops.

“Now the road is in good condition, and farmers are no longer
burdened with transportation costs. Everything can be transported
themselves,” he said.

Lebak Regent Mochamad Hasbi Asyidiki Jayabaya noted that
approximately 200 hectares of rice paddies exist in Karyajaya Village.
Farmers depend heavily on road access.

“After the road was built, farmers no longer need to incur
mobilisation costs for dry harvested grain. This greatly supports food
security in Lebak Regency,” said Hasbi.
",
