        "content": "<p>The Central Java Provincial Government is taking proactive measures\nto accelerate investment in new and renewable energy (EBT). Governor\nAhmad Luthfi, accompanied by provincial officials, attended a dinner for\nthe 12th cohort of the DBA Entrepreneur Scholar program by the Cheung\nKong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB) at the Grand Hyatt, Jakarta, on\nFriday (22\/5\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>The event was attended by dozens of Chinese entrepreneurs who have\nalready established investments in Indonesia. Addressing the group,\nGovernor Luthfi expressed his appreciation for the event and presented a\npackage of strategic investment opportunities focusing on the renewable\nenergy sector and large-scale waste-to-energy projects. He extended an\ninvitation to Chinese investors to visit Central Java, emphasizing the\nprovince\u2019s openness to foreign capital.<\/p>\n<p>Investment realisation in Central Java reached IDR 110.02 trillion in\n2025, comprising IDR 50.86 trillion in Foreign Direct Investment (PMA),\nIDR 37.64 trillion in Domestic Direct Investment (PMDN), and IDR 21.52\ntrillion from micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMK). In the first\nquarter of 2026, investment realisation in the province reached IDR\n23.02 trillion, with economic growth recorded at 5.89 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>Luthfi stated that Central Java is serious about developing new\neconomic drivers through renewable energy and waste management. Seven\nspecific projects are currently being offered to investors, including\nsolar power plants, micro-hydro, biogas, biomass, swamp gas,\nwaste-to-energy, and geothermal energy. \u201cWe are opening wide\nopportunities for waste processing investment in Central Java, which\nwill assist our renewable energy goals,\u201d he said in a press release.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, there are seven industrial and special economic zones\ndistributed across various regencies and cities in Central Java. China\nremains one of the highest sources of investment in the province, with a\nvalue of approximately IDR 10.13 trillion.<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting, Cu Longhua, CEO of PT WOOK Global Technology,\nnoted that expanding networks between entrepreneurs from various\nindustries is essential. He highlighted that the participating companies\noffer high-quality industrial resources compatible with sectors such as\necological protection, solid waste management, ecological restoration,\nnew energy industries, digital technology, high-end manufacturing, and\nmodern agriculture.<\/p>\n<p>Benjamin Pan, CEO of PT AAC Technologies Holding, remarked that as\none of Southeast Asia\u2019s largest economies, Indonesia offers vast market\npotential, an excellent development environment, and significant growth\nprospects. \u201cWe see possibilities for unlimited collaboration,\u201d he\nadded.<\/p>",
