Jakarta: Deputy Minister of Investment and Downstream\nIndustries\/Deputy Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM)\nTodotua Pasaribu has expressed appreciation for the collaboration\nbetween PT Sat Nusapersada and Lenovo Indonesia, which he said has\nempowered domestic industry.<\/p>\n
He made the remarks while attending the launch of PT Lenovo\nIndonesia\u2019s latest products that have met Local Content Requirement\n(TKDN) provisions, in Batam (29\/4). The new products include the Lenovo\nK14 Gen 3 and ThinkCentre Neo 50a Gen 5.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe appreciate the collaboration between PT Sat Nusapersada and\nLenovo Indonesia to manufacture two new products in Indonesia, as well\nas comply with TKDN regulations. It is hoped that this collaboration can\nenhance the empowerment of domestic industry,\u201d said Todotua, as quoted\nfrom a press release on Thursday, 1 May 2025.<\/p>\n
He added that the government is committed to providing support to\ninvestors who have contributed to national economic growth.<\/p>\n
This is part of the government\u2019s strategy to not only attract new\ninvestment, but to provide full facilitation and support to existing\ninvestors who have demonstrated their contribution through job creation,\ntechnology transfer, and strengthening of local industry.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe government is here to ensure that investments already made truly\nreceive support to grow and remain sustainable. We give serious\nattention to investors who have shown a positive impact on the economy,\nparticularly in the regions where they operate,\u201d said Todotua.<\/p>\n
Batam becomes a manufacturing investment magnet<\/p>\n
PT Lenovo Indonesia is a multinational technology company operating\nin more than 60 countries and selling its products in approximately 180\ncountries. Since 2019, PT Lenovo Indonesia has partnered with PT Sat\nNusapersada (Tbk) in developing its products.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Batam City, as part of the Riau Islands Province, has long\nbeen a magnet for manufacturing sector investment, particularly in\nelectronics. Total realised investment in Riau Islands Province in the\nfirst quarter of 2025 reached Rp13.22 trillion, ranking 12th by\nlocation.<\/p>\n
