        "content": "<p>The Lingkar Pemuda Indonesia (LPI) has urged the government to\nconduct a thorough evaluation of several national priority programmes to\nensure their implementation is transparent, accountable, and on target.\nThe organisation believes that governance reforms are necessary so that\nprogrammes intended for the public do not create opportunities for\nbudget irregularities. LPI National Executive Director Akhrom Saleh\nstated that every state budget allocation for strategic programmes must\nbe managed responsibly in accordance with the principles of good\ngovernance. \u201cEvery rupiah of state money is a public trust that must be\naccounted for. Therefore, the budget for strategic programmes must be\nmanaged transparently and accountably as directed by the President,\u201d he\nsaid in a written statement on Monday (29\/6). LPI highlighted three\nprogrammes that have recently drawn public attention: the Free\nNutritious Meals Programme (MBG), the construction of Sekolah Rakyat\n(People\u2019s Schools), and the training of prospective managers for the\nKoperasi Desa\/Kelurahan Merah Putih (Kopdes). Regarding the Free\nNutritious Meals Programme, the organisation has asked law enforcement\nofficials to investigate alleged irregularities in the programme\u2019s\nmanagement. According to Akhrom, if there are indications of legal\nviolations, the law enforcement process must be carried out objectively\nand impartially. In addition, LPI is pushing for an investigative audit\nof the Sekolah Rakyat Programme.
