        "content": "<p>The government is preparing to expand the social assistance (bansos)\ndigitalisation programme from Banyuwangi Regency to 42 regencies and\ncities across Indonesia, starting on 1 June 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Chair of the Government Digital Transformation Acceleration\nCommittee, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, explained that the pilot in\nBanyuwangi Regency has validated that utilising integrated\nadministrative data\u2014including population, asset ownership, civil\nservice, and electricity consumption\u2014significantly improves the accuracy\nof recipient eligibility.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter 77 years of Indonesia\u2019s independence, poverty data is truly\nbeginning to be administered in a more integrated and systematic manner.\nTherefore, interoperability and cross-sector synchronisation must\nproceed without obstacles,\u201d Luhut stated in a written remark in Jakarta\non Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>On 1 June 2026, the registration process and kick-off for bansos\ndigitalisation in the 42 regencies and cities will officially begin.<\/p>\n<p>The data collection process is targeted to be completed by the end of\nJuly 2026, followed by a gradual mechanism for distributing bansos based\non the latest verified data.<\/p>\n<p>In this phase, the system is estimated to manage data from 10 to 11\nmillion registered households for bansos.<\/p>\n<p>From the technology infrastructure readiness perspective, the\nGovernment Services Connector System (SPLP), managed by the Ministry of\nCommunication and Digital (Komdigi), is confirmed to have been tested\nand is ready to facilitate automatic data exchange interoperability\nmechanisms.<\/p>\n<p>This system will synchronise data from eight main agencies: Dukcapil,\nBPS, BKN, PLN, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, ATR\/BPN, Korlantas Polri, and\nKemensos.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI request that every data-owning agency ensure the Service Level\nAgreement (SLA) is met to avoid bottlenecks in the field. Additionally,\ncybersecurity must be maintained at the highest standards by BSSN, as\nthis involves the data of millions of Indonesians,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>As a form of oversight, President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to\ndirectly review the implementation and system readiness in the field\nthrough working visits to Surabaya, Banyuwangi, and Bali on 8\u20139 June\n2026, followed by a Limited Meeting at Tampak Siring Palace.<\/p>\n<p>To ensure the entire process runs according to target, the committee\nteam is holding online coordination meetings every two days to monitor\nprogress on repository integration, local data testing, and data staging\ntests.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf all these stages proceed as planned and our system fundamentals\nare well maintained, we are optimistic that the national rollout of the\ndigital social protection system can be carried out in October as\ndirected by the President,\u201d Luhut stated.<\/p>",
