        "content": "<p>REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA \u2014 The government is currently drafting a\npresidential regulation concerning the protection of digital platform\nworkers in the online transportation sector. This regulation is designed\nto strengthen the governance and protection of online motorcycle taxi\ndrivers in Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>The Coordinator of Labour Relations at the Directorate of Labour\nRelations and Wages of the Ministry of Manpower, Lisadarti, stated that\nthe drafting of the Presidential Regulation involves several ministries.\n\u201cIn this discussion, it is not only the Ministry of Manpower but also\ninvolves other ministries. Because to create this Presidential\nRegulation, it cannot be done by only one party from the Ministry of\nManpower,\u201d said Lisadarti at the Iftar &amp; Media Gathering of inDrive\nIndonesia 2026 in Jakarta, Wednesday (25\/2\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Lisadarti said that the government will also listen to input from\napplication companies. Lisadarti believes that a harmonious relationship\nwith application companies is important to build a sustainable online\ntransportation ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe presence of platforms like inDrive has had a significant impact\non the community\u2019s economy, especially in creating job opportunities and\nincome sources for millions of drivers throughout Indonesia,\u201d said\nLisadarti.<\/p>\n<p>Lisadarti said that the government is open to dialogue with all\nindustry players. \u201cThe government always opens the door for dialogue and\nconstructive cooperation with all players in the online transportation\nindustry,\u201d said Lisadarti.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Head of the Non-Route Transportation Team for Urban\nAreas of the Ministry of Transportation, Ellena, said that the\nregulation of online transportation is an important part of the strategy\nfor developing the transportation sector.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTherefore, we are aligning with the Presidential Regulation being\ndrafted by the Ministry of Manpower, which is to build transportation\nthat is fair and transparent,\u201d said Ellena.<\/p>",
