Teddy stated\nthat the government is targeting the completion of 2,500 suspension\nbridges by August 2026. Construction will then be accelerated to reach\nthe target of 5,000 bridges by the end of next year. According to him,\nthe new bridges are being built to connect areas that have been\nseparated for years by rivers and difficult terrain. Therefore,\nPresident Prabowo Subianto is encouraging the construction of suspension\nbridges to realise faster, safer, and more equitable connectivity to all\ncorners of Indonesia. \u201cIn many areas that have been separated by rivers\nfor decades, the presence of a bridge can change the lives of the\ncommunity,\u201d he said.
