        "content": "<p>JAKARTA - The government is still conducting surveys of several\nstrategic locations for the plan to build a new city area spanning\naround five hectares in Tangerang Regency.<\/p>\n<p>Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait, or\nAra, stated that the land for the project has been prepared by Minister\nof Law Supratman Andi Agtas, and is currently in the location scouting\nphase.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThen also the third one, we discussed the new city plan, right? So\nwe have direct access, coincidentally the Minister of Law has prepared\nland of around 4.5-5 hectares in Tangerang,\u201d Ara explained after meeting\nthe President Director of PT Bank Syariah Nasional (BSN), Alex Sofjan\nNoor, at Menara BTN I, Jakarta, on Wednesday (13\/5\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>According to her, the survey is being conducted to determine the area\ndeemed most suitable for developing the new city as well as subsidised\nrental apartments (rusun).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will report according to the meeting two weeks ago with Mr Head\nof Task Force, Mr Hashim. Now Mr Robert and the team are working to\nsurvey strategic locations that are suitable for the new city and also\nfor subsidised rental apartments,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, perhaps one of them will serve as an example for BSN to develop\nthe new city,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>She explained that the new city concept will be intended for\nlow-income communities (MBR) as well as middle-class groups, supported\nby public facilities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe city will be for MBR, as well as for the middle class. And also\nfacilities for education, health, places of worship, sports, and so on,\u201d\nsaid Maruarar.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding the detailed project location in Tangerang, the government\nis still conducting field surveys based on recommendations from the\nMinister of Law.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThen the survey with Mr Robert will come, it can be seen. There are\ndetailed locations that are certainly recommendations from the\nMinister,\u201d she emphasised.<\/p>",
