Jakarta \u2014 The Indonesian government has strengthened the governance\nand accountability of the Free Nutritious Meal Programme (MBG) through\nthe launch of an e-learning platform for financial reporting compilation\nand the updated Financial Reporting Application for Nutrition Service\nDelivery Units (SPPG) version 04. This initiative aims to ensure\ntransparent management of the national nutrition fulfilment programme\nbudget as the beneficiary coverage expands significantly.<\/p>\n
The nutrition fulfilment programme currently reaches approximately 60\nmillion beneficiaries served by around 23,000 SPPG units across various\nregions in Indonesia. This extensive coverage is accompanied by a\ncorresponding increase in state budget allocation managed under the\nprogramme.<\/p>\n
In 2025, the initial programme budget reached approximately Rp71\ntrillion and increased through the Supplementary Budget Allocation (ABT)\nto approximately Rp85 trillion.<\/p>\n
The Head of the National Nutrition Agency emphasised that\nstrengthening the financial reporting system is a crucial aspect of\nmaintaining public trust in programme management.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis funding is the people\u2019s money. In every rupiah, the hopes are\nembedded that the nation\u2019s children grow healthy, intelligent, and\nexcellent. Therefore, the principle of good governance is no longer a\nchoice, but an absolute obligation,\u201d stated the official during the\nprogramme launch in Jakarta on Wednesday, 26 February.<\/p>\n
In implementation, the programme\u2019s financial management is guided by\nthe Decision of the Head of the National Nutrition Agency Number 63 of\n2025, which requires each SPPG to compile accountability reports\ncredibly. These reports include daily, weekly, and monthly reports as a\nform of transparency in the use of state budget.<\/p>\n
However, the government recognises that financial report compilation\nin the field still faces various challenges, particularly due to the\nwidespread distribution of SPPG units across numerous regions.<\/p>\n
To address this, the National Nutrition Agency collaborates with the\nFinancial Education and Training Agency (BPPK) and the Directorate\nGeneral of Treasury of the Ministry of Finance to provide a digital\nlearning platform through the Ministry of Finance Learning Centre (KLC).\nThrough this system, SPPG administrators can learn financial report\ncompilation online and flexibly.<\/p>\n
Additionally, the government has introduced the updated SPPG\nFinancial Reporting Application version 04, which is designed to\naccelerate the report compilation process, improve the accuracy of\nfinancial data, and strengthen SPPG readiness for audit processes by the\nInspectorate, the Internal Supervisory Apparatus (BPKP), and the\nFinancial Audit Board (BPK).<\/p>\n
The government hopes these learning systems and applications can\nstrengthen the capacity of SPPG administrators whilst ensuring the\nnational nutrition fulfilment programme operates with full\naccountability.<\/p>\n
