        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid\nhas explained the law enforcement steps being taken by the government in\nimplementing PP Tunas.<\/p>\n<p>Meutya emphasised that the government is ensuring the commitment to\ncompliance from digital platforms through concrete measures. \u201cApart from\nthe fact that we are currently entering the enforcement and supervision\nstage, we are already seeing compliance that we continue to examine with\nconcrete steps,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo it is not just on paper, but what the platforms have actually\ndone, how far they have gone, and how many accounts have been subject to\nintervention by the platforms that we designated at the start,\u201d Meutya\nstated at the opening of the \u2018Perisai Tunas\u2019 photojournalism exhibition\nin Central Jakarta on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>PP Tunas, the Government Regulation on Child Protection in Electronic\nSystem Governance, applies a risk-based approach where each platform is\nclassified according to its risk level. \u201cThere are platforms categorised\nas high risk, which we restrict until the age of 16. There are platforms\nwith low risk, which can be accessed by children from the age of 13,\u201d\nshe explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is what we hope for, that not only are children protected, but\nplatforms also move towards becoming more child-friendly,\u201d Meutya\nadded.<\/p>\n<p>She expressed confidence that technology companies and digital\nplatforms are committed to improving the protection of child users,\nespecially when supported by strong government regulation. The\ngovernment will continue to supervise and evaluate the implementation of\nPP Tunas to ensure a safer digital space for Indonesian children while\nencouraging digital platforms to make continuous improvements.<\/p>",
