        "content": "<p>President Prabowo Subianto has instructed his administration to\ninvolve the public in selecting the logo and visual identity for the\n81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. The government, through\nthe Ministry of State Secretariat, officially launched the public\npolling for the logo selection on Wednesday, 24 June 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya stated that this\nmarks the first time in history the public has been directly involved in\ndetermining the official Independence Day logo. \u201cAt the direction of the\nPresident, the public is actively involved in determining the logo\nthrough a public polling mechanism,\u201d Riefky said at the Presidential\nPalace complex in Jakarta on Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>Riefky explained that the logo competition for the 81st Independence\nDay attracted 124 participants from various regions across Indonesia.\nFollowing a selection and curation process, five designers were chosen\nas the best finalists. These five works will now be voted on directly by\nthe public. The government collaborated with the Indonesian Graphic\nDesigners Association (ADGI) to select the five finalists.<\/p>\n<p>On the same occasion, Deputy Minister of State Secretary Juri\nArdiantoro announced that the government has also set the official theme\nfor the 81st Independence Day commemoration. The theme is \u201cA Sovereign,\nJust, and Prosperous Indonesia.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe President wants the Indonesian people to be directly involved in\ndetermining the logo and visuals that will be used or designated as the\nIndependence Day logo. So, the President\u2019s directive is that the\nfestivity of the 81st Anniversary of Indonesian Independence also\nbelongs to the people, to all Indonesian society,\u201d Juri said.<\/p>\n<p>According to Juri, the five candidate logos are the work of\nprofessional graphic designers and were curated based on their alignment\nwith the established national theme. The five finalists open for public\nvoting hail from various regions of Indonesia: David Wirawan from\nSurakarta, Fajar Novario from Padang, Kanda Putra from Denpasar,\nRiskiawan from Malang, and Tiffany Djohan from Batam.<\/p>\n<p>The logo selection process runs from 24 to 28 June 2026.
