The government has launched the digitalisation of birth certificate\nissuance, integrated with healthcare service facilities. Through this\nservice, birth data recorded at health facilities can be directly\nconnected to civil administration services.<\/p>\n
The launch was carried out symbolically by the Chair of the\nGovernment Digital Transformation Acceleration Committee Luhut Binsar\nPandjaitan, Minister of Home Affairs Muhammad Tito Karnavian, Minister\nof Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, and other officials at the Pasar Minggu\nCommunity Health Centre. The presence of this integration is expected to\naccelerate and simplify the process of issuing birth certificates for\nthe public.<\/p>\n
In his remarks, Tito explained that the development of this digital\nservice is part of efforts to strengthen the Electronic-Based Government\nSystem (SPBE). According to him, population data is one of the important\nfoundations in the development of digital government services because it\nis continuously updated based on population events in the regions.<\/p>\n
\u201cDistricts and cities directly serve the public and they are\nconnected to the Dukcapil server. So there are births, deaths, people\nmoving, people becoming single, new ones and so on. It moves every\nminute,\u201d said Tito in a written statement on Tuesday (11\/8\/2026).<\/p>\n
Tito added that the utilisation of population data has now developed\nwidely and is used by thousands of users from various government\nagencies and other sectors. Integration with various data sources can\nsupport public services that are easier, more accurate, and better\ntargeted.<\/p>\n
One of its uses, said Tito, is to support the distribution of social\nassistance so that it is better targeted. In this case, population data\ncan be matched with various other data sources so that the government\nhas a more complete picture of the condition of beneficiaries.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf, for example, it is described by the village head or perhaps by\nthe regent for inclusion as a beneficiary of assistance from the\nMinistry of Social Affairs, Rp600,000 in cash for PKH, 10 kg of rice, if\nall of that is connected, it will be known,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The experience in integrating this data then became one of the\nfoundations for the development of civil administration services\nconnected to the health sector. Tito also welcomed the Ministry of\nHealth\u2019s initiative to integrate SATUSEHAT with the Population\nAdministration Information System (SIAK), particularly in the issuance\nof birth certificates.<\/p>\n
Through this integration, the administrative process that previously\nrequired parents to manage documents in stages, from the neighbourhood\nlevel to the civil administration service office, can be shortened.\nBirth data recorded at health facilities can be directly connected to\nthe civil administration system.<\/p>\n
\u201cDirectly connected, on the day of birth we immediately issue the\nbirth certificate,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n
Tito added that digitally issued birth certificates can be delivered\nto parents through the health facility where the child was born or\nthrough available communication channels.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, this digitalisation does not only target births\nthat take place at health facilities. The government will also\nstrengthen the reporting mechanism for births that take place outside\nhealth facilities so that they can still be recorded in civil\nadministration.<\/p>\n
