        "content": "<p>Jakarta - The government is finalising a presidential regulation\ngoverning the ride-hailing transport ecosystem, including discussing the\nlatest formula for the service\u2019s business model.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYesterday we held a coordination meeting to finalise the\nride-hailing Perpres. Almost all substantive principles have been\nsuccessfully formulated,\u201d said State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi\nwhen answering questions at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta\non Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that one of the issues focused on in the discussion was\nformulating a formula regarding updates to the transport service\nbusiness model. He said the finalisation of the formula is being carried\nout to ensure that when the regulation is issued, its implementation\nwill not disrupt what is already in place and will anticipate conditions\non the ground.<\/p>\n<p>Although the presidential regulation is still in the finalisation\nstage, Prasetyo confirmed that implementation in the field has already\nbegun in accordance with President Prabowo\u2019s instructions, with several\nride-hailing applications already applying an 8 percent commission cut.\nThe regulation was previously planned to be completed before the 81st\nAnniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>He also explained that with MSME status, ride-hailing drivers will\nhave flexibility in working hours and can receive MSME incentive policy\npackages. Furthermore, he stressed that the government will not impose\nany taxes on ride-hailing drivers who will later have MSME status, as\ntheir income is in the range of Rp10-15 million.<\/p>",
