        "content": "<p>The government is committed to ensuring all transport facilities and\npublic services during the homecoming period function smoothly.<\/p>\n<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) \u2013 The government has established the Central Unified\nEid Transport Command Centre 2026 to oversee national transport\noperations, strengthen operational oversight, and ensure smooth mobility\nfor citizens during the Eid exodus and return migration.<\/p>\n<p>In launching the Centre at the Ministry of Transport on Friday\nevening, Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi stated that the command\ncentre serves as the national coordination hub to ensure rapid and\nappropriate response to developments on the ground.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn line with President Prabowo Subianto\u2019s directive, the government\nis committed to ensuring all transport facilities and public services\nduring the homecoming period function smoothly through strong\ncoordination between ministries, regional governments, state-owned\nenterprises, the private sector, and all transport stakeholders,\u201d said\nthe Transport Minister.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond establishing the command centre for oversight, monitoring, and\nevaluation down to the regional level, the Minister outlined\npreparedness measures including transport infrastructure readiness,\nrestrictions on certain transport modes ahead of peak migration periods\nto reduce queuing and congestion, and provision of reserve transport\ncapacity as needed.<\/p>\n<p>Additional measures include vehicle safety inspections to ensure\noperational compliance, traffic management coordination with the police\nand armed forces where necessary, aircraft ticket price reductions, and\ntoll rate discounts. The ministry is also providing free travel\nassistance programmes, conducting extensive public awareness campaigns\non transport service policies, safety and security matters, and\nmaintaining intensive coordination with relevant stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>The Minister stressed that successful Eid transport operations depend\nnot only on government policy but also on synergy, discipline, and\nintegrity from all involved parties. Key priorities include ensuring\nconsistent understanding and perception among all personnel implementing\nmobility control policies, conducting rigorous yet humane oversight with\nemphasis on public service, and maintaining clear, transparent public\ncommunication to prevent contradictory information and sectoral ego.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cImportantly, I call upon all officers at the command centre and in\nthe field to remain vigilant in addressing transport dynamics, work with\ndedication and patience, and prioritise safety as the paramount\nconcern,\u201d Purwagandhi said.<\/p>\n<p>The Centre operates across 1,560 monitoring and service posts,\ncomprising 264 maritime transport nodes, 177 terminals (115 type A and\n62 type B), 248 ferry crossing nodes, 472 railway transport nodes, 257\nair transport nodes, plus 43 networks across 6 toll gates and 44\nnetworks on arterial roads.<\/p>\n<p>The Central Unified Eid Transport Command Centre 2026 operates from\n13-30 March 2026, involving the Transport Ministry, Communications and\nDigital Technology Ministry, Tourism Ministry, Traffic Police, national\nsearch and rescue agency, meteorological agency, disaster management\nagency, national transportation safety committee, Jakarta transport\ndepartment, and numerous state-owned and private transport\noperators.<\/p>",
