        "content": "<p>The Ministry of Culture has stated that the government supports the\ndevelopment of the literary ecosystem, one of the ways being through the\nNational Talent Management (MTN) programme. \u201cWe are making literature a\npart of ecosystem development together with National Talent Management.\nLiterature certainly will not grow merely with the presence of talented\nwriters. Literary life will flourish when the entire ecosystem can\nfunction properly from upstream to downstream,\u201d said Culture Minister\nFadli Zon at the opening of the Sasana Sastra event in Jakarta on\nThursday. He explained that the literary ecosystem runs from upstream to\ndownstream, starting from the process of creating or producing works,\npublishing, distribution, translation, promotion, and spaces for\nappreciation or festivals, to the formation of communities that bring\nliterary works to life. He acknowledged that his ministry has partnered\nwith at least 18 literary festivals in Indonesia through a national\nfestival consortium and supports increasing literary appreciation across\nvarious regions. \u201cApproximately 3,225 selected literary works have been\ndistributed to the public through 35 literary community hubs spread\nacross Indonesia. In 2025, we also encouraged the regeneration of 7,500\nliterary talents through the national talent management mechanism in the\nfield of literature,\u201d he said. The ministry is also opening\nopportunities for Indonesian literature to become better known on the\nglobal stage by nurturing young translators and promoters who are an\nimportant link in this ecosystem, as well as providing funding for\ntranslators for foreign nationals who purchase the copyrights of\nnational literary works. With Indonesia\u2019s wealth as a megadiversity\ncountry, possessing cultural riches from Sabang to Merauke and from\nMiangas to Rote Island, along with 1,340 ethnic groups, 718 languages,\nand spread across more than 17,000 islands, it is hoped that the\nnation\u2019s literary wealth will continue to grow and be sustainable.<\/p>",
