        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium\nEnterprises (MSMEs), Maman Abdurrahman, stated that the government\ncontinues to consider the conditions of MSMEs in the upcoming\nimplementation of mandatory halal certification.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the conditions of each MSME cannot be equated with\nmedium or large-scale enterprises, as there are limitations that must be\nconsidered when applying the regulation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNaturally, we from the government will continue to look at the\naspect of wisdom in this policy. It does not mean that those (MSMEs) who\nhave not yet processed it will simply be left behind. I believe there\nwill be wisdom and discretion from our side,\u201d said Memma when met in\nJakarta on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that entrepreneurs with medium to large-scale businesses\ngenerally possess higher literacy regarding regulations, as well as more\nadequate capital. Meanwhile, MSME players still face several\nlimitations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause micro and small enterprises (MSMEs) cannot be equated with\nour friends in medium-scale businesses. Their legal literacy and\nunderstanding are already high, and their capital is also sufficiently\nstrong. However, micro-enterprises have several limitations. Therefore,\nthere will be some consideration from us,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>Maman previously stated that his ministry would prepare policies to\nprovide ease for MSMEs in facing the implementation of mandatory halal\ncertification.<\/p>\n<p>As is known, the Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH) has a halal\ncertification programme through the self-declare scheme, which is\nintended to provide ease for micro and small business actors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBPJPH has also issued policies regarding self-declaration. This\nmeans it is one of the ways to provide ease for our friends in the micro\nand small business sectors,\u201d Maman said when met at the DPR RI Building,\nCentral Jakarta, last Monday (14\/9).<\/p>\n<p>Starting 18 October 2026, mandatory halal certification will apply to\nfood and beverage products, as well as serving services such as\nrestaurants, in accordance with the applicable provisions.<\/p>",
