State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi has dismissed the\nrumour.<\/p>\n<p>Prasetyo stated that the government, along with the Ministry of\nEnergy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) and Pertamina, has held discussions\nfollowing the emergence of the issue. The decision was taken under\ndirect instructions from President Prabowo Subianto.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTherefore, we need to convey that after conducting coordination, in\nthis case the government and the Ministry of ESDM together with\nPertamina and under instructions from the President, the President\nalways prioritises the interests of the people and society in making\ndecisions,\u201d Prasetyo told reporters on Tuesday (31\/3\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor that reason, Pertamina has stated that it will not make any\nprice adjustments for either subsidised BBM or non-subsidised BBM,\u201d he\ncontinued.<\/p>\n<p>Prasetyo urged the public not to be influenced by unverified rumours.\nHe guaranteed that the government is committed to maintaining price\nstability to protect the public\u2019s purchasing power.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hope that with this statement, the public can obtain clearer and\nmore accurate information, and we hope the public does not need to\npanic,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He stated that fuel availability is also secure.
