        "content": "<p>The Ministry of State Secretariat has advised all government\ninstitutions, public bodies, and private companies to provide work\nflexibility and leeway for employees on 18 August 2026.<\/p>\n<p>This is in connection with the celebration of the 81st anniversary of\nthe Republic of Indonesia\u2019s independence, as set out in circular letter\nNumber: B-17\/M\/S\/TU.00.03\/08\/2026, issued on 14 August 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The circular contains an appeal to provide the widest possible\nopportunity for the public to celebrate, reflect upon, and give thanks\nfor independence in their own ways, without reducing national\nproductivity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo all leaders of government institutions, public bodies, and\nprivate companies, please provide work flexibility and leeway for all\nemployees in your respective work environments on 18 August 2026,\u201d\nstates point (1), as quoted on Monday, 17 August 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The provision of work flexibility and leeway should be adjusted to\nthe conditions, workload, and operational needs applicable in each\norganisation.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the circular reminds that public services in several\nsectors must continue to operate optimally. This applies particularly to\ngovernment institutions and public bodies or private companies that\nprovide direct services to the public, including but not limited to\nhealth services, banking, telecommunications, energy, security, public\norder, transport, and other essential services.<\/p>\n<p>Chief of Presidential Staff General TNI (Ret.)
