        "content": "<p>Tuesday, 12 August, 2008 | 14:41 WIB<\/p>\n<p>TEMPO Interactive, Bandung: The Government has allocated Rp19 trillion from the state budget for developing Indonesian railways within the next three years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a challenge for the Directorate General of Railways,\u201d said State Minister for State Enterprises Sofyan Djalil in Bandung yesterday (11\/8).<\/p>\n<p>He said the fund allocation shows the government serious in improving the national railways.<\/p>\n<p>The Government also plans to restructure the railways inner organization with railways operating in Jakarta and the surrounding areas becoming a subsidiary company.<\/p>\n<p>They have to carry at least 30 percent of Jakarta commuters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow they only carry three percent of total commuters,\u201d said Sofyan.<\/p>\n<p>ADELHEID SIDHARTA<\/p>",
