        "content": "<p>The government is continuing to refine its steps towards implementing\nZero Over Dimension Over Loading (ODOL) by 2027, through the improvement\nof freight vehicles from upstream to downstream.<\/p>\n<p>Herib Prabowo, Head of the Motor Vehicle Testing Sub-directorate at\nthe Ministry of Transportation, stated that the efforts to achieve Zero\nODOL are being carried out by involving various stakeholders, ranging\nfrom ministries and agencies to associations and the transport companies\nthemselves.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, from various agencies, I believe also from associations and\ntransporters. We are currently communicating with everyone so that Zero\nODOL can truly be successful by next year,\u201d said Heri Prabowo in Jakarta\non Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the cargo loading process is also being scrutinised to\nensure that vehicles do not carry loads exceeding the established\nlimits. This responsibility lies not only with the drivers but also\ninvolves transport companies and cargo owners.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are many things we must communicate, starting from the\nupstream side regarding the vehicles, then how the implementation is\ncarried out in the field, supervision, and so on. There are many aspects\nwe need to coordinate,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The government is also strengthening technology-based supervision and\ndata integration to detect violations more effectively.<\/p>\n<p>This measure is reinforced by the implementation of the Electronic\nTraffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) Hub system to support the monitoring and\nlaw enforcement of freight vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>With this approach, the government aims to change the pattern of ODOL\nhandling, which has traditionally relied heavily on roadside\nenforcement. The target is that issues regarding excess dimensions and\nloads can be prevented from the moment a vehicle is prepared, through\nthe loading of goods, until they are distributed to their\ndestination.<\/p>",
