        "content": "<p>PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), the technology holding company\nbehind Gojek and GoPay, delivered a positive performance in the second\nquarter of 2026. GOTO recorded a net profit of Rp 252 billion, reversing\na Rp 375 billion loss in the same period last year.<\/p>\n<p>In its results presentation on Wednesday (29 July 2026), GOTO\u2019s\nmanagement explained that the achievement in Q2 2026 continued the\npositive trend from Q1 2026, when it posted a net profit of Rp 171\nbillion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have delivered net profits for two consecutive quarters, with\nadjusted Group EBITDA more than doubling compared to the previous year,\nsurpassing the Rp 1 trillion mark for the first time,\u201d said GOTO Chief\nExecutive Officer Hans Patuwo in a press release on Wednesday (29 July\n2026).<\/p>\n<p>Hans added that GOTO\u2019s financial technology (fintech) business\ncontinued to show strong growth. In fact, the profitability of that\nbusiness has now surpassed the on-demand services segment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis demonstrates the strength and balance of our ecosystem,\u201d he\nadded.<\/p>\n<p>GOTO\u2019s ecosystem also grew rapidly, as evidenced by annual\ntransacting users (ATUs) rising 19% year-on-year to 71 million, while\ncore GTV grew 83% year-on-year to Rp 164 trillion.<\/p>\n<p>GOTO maintained its full-year adjusted Group EBITDA target in the\nrange of Rp 3.2 trillion to Rp 3.4 trillion, while raising the\nperformance target for its fintech business, which has continued to\nrecord outstanding results.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to presenting its financial performance, GOTO announced\nplans to buy back approximately 32 billion treasury shares, equivalent\nto around 2.7% of total shares outstanding. In carrying out the treasury\nshare buyback, GOTO will comply with applicable regulatory requirements\nand seek approval from its shareholders.<\/p>\n<p>GOTO will provide further information, including the announcement and\nconvening of a General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPS), once all\npreparations have been completed.<\/p>",
