"summary": "Google has enhanced its AI-powered search feature, AI Mode, by introducing side-by-side web page viewing within the same screen, eliminating the need to switch tabs and allowing users to maintain focus while exploring relevant content. Users can now ask follow-up questions about products or topics using context from open pages combined with web sources, and a new multi-tab search option in Chrome enables incorporating open tabs, images, or files for more contextual AI queries. Currently available only in the United States, this update aims to streamline information exploration and is set to expand to other regions, highlighting Google's push towards more integrated and efficient AI-driven browsing experiences.",
"content": "<p>Google has updated its artificial intelligence-based search feature,\nAI Mode, with several improvements that change the way users browse the\ninternet. One of the most noticeable changes is the ability to open web\npages side by side directly on one screen without needing to switch\ntabs. Previously, users had to open a new tab first to access web pages\nfrom AI Mode search results. Now, simply by clicking a link, the web\npage appears next to the AI display on the same screen. Google states\nthat this approach allows users to stay focused on their tasks while\nstill being able to explore various relevant web pages. After selecting\na link, the product page will open directly beside the AI display. From\nthere, users can immediately ask follow-up questions about ease of use,\nspecifications, and price information without switching screens. AI Mode\nthen works by utilising the context from the open page, plus information\nfrom various web sources, to provide relevant and accurate answers. In\nthis way, users can explore sites, compare product details, and ask\nfollow-up questions while maintaining the initial search context. In\naddition to the side-by-side display, Google has introduced a new way to\nsearch by utilising multiple tabs at once. In Google Chrome on both\ndesktop and mobile versions, users can tap the plus menu available in\nthe search box on the New Tab page or directly in AI Mode. From there,\nusers can select tabs that are currently or recently open to include in\nthe search. This feature allows users to combine various sources such as\ntabs, images, or files as additional context in AI-based searches. For\nexample, when searching for hiking routes, users can combine several\nalready open tabs and request recommendations for similar routes in\nother locations. Another example, when studying for an exam, users can\ninput notes or materials that are open to request additional\nexplanations from the AI. For now, the AI Mode update is only available\nto users in the United States. Google states that the feature will be\nexpanded to more regions gradually in the future.<\/p>",
