Las Vegas (ANTARA) - Google Cloud\u2019s President for Asia Pacific, Karan\nBajwa, views Indonesia as a country with a highly complete and\ncomprehensive market owing to its success in combining the strengths of\ntraditional sector companies with an innovative digital ecosystem.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat country (Indonesia) also packages a very dynamic digital\necosystem, developer ecosystem, digital data. So, this is a very\ncomplete and comprehensive market,\u201d said Bajwa on the sidelines of the\nGoogle Cloud Next \u201926 event in Las Vegas, United States, on Thursday\n(23\/4) local time.<\/p>\n
Bajwa stated that Indonesia\u2019s appeal lies in its customer diversity\nand country size. Mature sectors such as banking, retail, and\ntelecommunications in Indonesia are seen as demonstrating high\ntechnological readiness.<\/p>\n
As an example, he highlighted Indosat\u2019s steps to accelerate AI\nintelligence transformation and its aspiration to evolve from a\ntelecommunications company into an AI TechCo.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are very proud of what we are doing together with Indonesia, in\nIndonesia with customers. We had the privilege of being the first\nprovider to launch a data centre in Indonesia. And I think that gives us\ntremendous opportunity to really work with customers,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Referring to Indonesia as a complete and intact digital market, Bajwa\nadded that Google Cloud wants to truly represent the completeness of its\nplatform\u2019s capabilities, which encompass almost all industries that can\nbe transformed through technology use in Indonesia.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, Bajwa views Southeast Asia as a microcosm of the broader\nAsia-Pacific market. He considers the region unique because it\nencompasses market diversity, from highly mature to digital-native based\nones.<\/p>\n
For Google Cloud, Indonesia becomes a representation of a complete\nmarket with a blend of established traditional companies and a highly\ndynamic digital ecosystem. This differs from Thailand, which is very\nstrong in traditional corporate sectors, or Singapore, which stands out\nthrough its developer ecosystem and mature banking.<\/p>\n
The unique characteristics in each country, including dynamic\ndeveloper markets in Vietnam and Malaysia, serve as a learning medium\nfor Google Cloud in applying its technology to other areas in the\nAsia-Pacific.<\/p>\n
