The critical review and analysis of David Landes'<br>\nlatest book, The wealth and poverty of nations -- Why some are so<br>\nrich and some so poor, deserve congratulations and a pat on the<br>\nback.<\/p>\n<p>I was highly impressed with the analysis, particularly when<br>\nDr. Thee linked it with the current Indonesian economic crisis.<br>\nHowever, the policy's challenges, opportunities and weaknesses<br>\npointed out in the articles can provide a good lesson to our<br>\npolicy elites in many developing countries.
