Golkar\u2019s West Java branch used its 62nd anniversary as an opportunity\nto strengthen its service to the public and encourage the regeneration\nof its cadres. The party said the modest celebrations this year should\nnot diminish its commitment to pursuing public welfare.<\/p>\n
The message emerged during a pilgrimage, flower-laying ceremony and\njoint prayer at Cikutra Heroes\u2019 Cemetery in Bandung on Tuesday, 20\nOctober 2026. The event honoured the service of national heroes and gave\nparty members an opportunity to reflect on how to carry their spirit\nforward through practical work.<\/p>\n
Ahmad Hidayat, secretary of the West Java Golkar Regional Leadership\nCouncil, said the anniversary was being marked simply out of concern for\nthe economic circumstances of the public.<\/p>\n
He said the modesty of the occasion should remind party members to\nincrease their contributions, particularly those serving in the\nlegislative and executive branches.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll Golkar cadres, whether serving in the legislature or the\nexecutive, must do their best to improve the public\u2019s economic\ncircumstances,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Ahmad explained that the pilgrimage to Cikutra Heroes\u2019 Cemetery was\nan annual event to remember the heroes, including figures who had\ncontributed to the history of the Golkar Party.<\/p>\n
He said he hoped the 62nd anniversary would strengthen the spirit of\nservice and create more opportunities for young people to contribute to\nbuilding the party.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Ariansyah Eka Saputra, head of the West Java regional\nboard of the Golkar Party Youth Front (AMPG), said cadre regeneration\nwas an important challenge in ensuring the organisation\u2019s\ncontinuity.<\/p>\n
He said internal consolidation needed to go hand in hand with cadre\ndevelopment so the party could adapt to changing times and prepare\nfuture leaders.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe hope the Golkar Party will always provide young people with\nopportunities to contribute,\u201d Ariansyah said.<\/p>\n
He added that consolidation was the organisation\u2019s foundation, while\ncadre development was vital to preserving the party\u2019s existence.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor us, consolidation is the key, but cadre development is the\nchallenge in keeping an organisation or party alive,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
