The Chairman of the Golkar Party, Bahlil Lahadalia, has spoken out\nregarding party member Fahd A Rafiq, who has been implicated in\ncorruption cases on three separate occasions. Bahlil admitted to being\nshaken by the corruption case involving one of his members.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe consider this a misfortune and we feel shaken. However, we at\nGolkar will look forward. This is a misfortune that, of course, no one\nwants,\u201d Bahlil told reporters at the Senayan Parliamentary Complex,\nJakarta, on Thursday, 17 September 2026.<\/p>\n
Bahlil added that the Golkar Party will always look towards the\nfuture, as Golkar is an experienced party with a vast number of members.\nConsequently, Bahlil admitted that the party cannot monitor every single\nmember individually.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs an experienced party with many members, we simply cannot control\neveryone one by one,\u201d Bahlil said.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, Bahlil stated that he respects the entire legal\nprocess currently being conducted by the Corruption Eradication\nCommission (KPK). \u201cThe most important thing is that we respect the\napplicable legal process. We uphold it and let all legal processes be\nrespected properly,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
For information, Fahd El Fouz, also known as Fahd A Rafiq, is facing\ncorruption charges once again. This time, he has been named a suspect in\nan alleged bribery case involving the management of Building Use Rights\n(HGB) within the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial\nPlanning\/National Land Agency (ATR\/BPN).<\/p>\n
This case marks the third time Fahd has been embroiled in corruption\nmatters. This track record has led the Corruption Eradication Commission\n(KPK) to ensure that heavier penalties will be sought against Fahd.<\/p>\n
\u201cRegarding Mr.\u00a0FF, it is correct as stated earlier that this is his\nthird time. In criminal law concepts, he is considered a recidivist.\nTherefore, there will certainly be an aggravation of the sentence,\u201d said\nthe Acting Director of Investigation at the KPK, Achmad Taufik Husein,\nas quoted on Wednesday, 16 September 2026.<\/p>\n
Taufik stated that this aggravation will be part of the prosecution\nprocess.
