        "content": "<p>A member of the House of Representatives\u2019 Commission III from the\nGolkar Party, Soedeson Tandra, has urged PDIP politician Deddy Yevri\nSitorus not to make careless statements regarding the investigation into\nan alleged coal governance corruption case that has ensnared former\nJunior Attorney General for Special Crimes, Febrie Adriansyah. Soedeson\nassessed that Deddy\u2019s request to examine Energy and Mineral Resources\nMinister Bahlil Lahadalia was tendentious and lacked a basis in accurate\ndata. \u201cThis statement by Deddy Sitorus is tendentious, secondly it is\nmisleading or misinformation, thirdly it is baseless. He commented\nwithout sufficient data, without knowing the true duduk perkara,\u201d\nSoedeson said in Jakarta on Monday, 13 July 2026. Soedeson explained\nthat the issue of coal supply for PT PLN (Persero) was purely a\nbusiness-to-business relationship between PLN and the supplier.\nAccording to him, there is no direct relevance that requires the Energy\nand Mineral Resources Minister to be examined in this case. Soedeson\nrevealed that the \u2018rot\u2019 causing state losses and power blackouts was\nrelated to fraudulent practices in procurement, not ministerial policy.\n\u201cThe rot is called under-invoicing, under-quantity, under-price. For\nexample, the required calorific value should be 4,200, but what was\nsupplied was below that. This is a game that has the potential to harm\nstate finances. Where is the minister\u2019s involvement there?\u201d he asserted.\nHe also warned Deddy Sitorus to better understand the issue before\ncriticising in public. \u201cHe is a member of the DPR, don\u2019t just open your\nmouth to talk,\u201d said Soedeson, who is also the Chairman of Golkar for\nCentral Papua. As is known, the National Police Headquarters has named\nformer Jampidsus Febrie Adriansyah as a suspect in the alleged coal\ngovernance corruption case. This case is suspected to be the main cause\nof widespread blackouts in several regions of Sumatra. The alleged\ncorruption in coal procurement for the PLTU is estimated to have caused\nstate losses of up to Rp 5 trillion. Apart from the coal case, Febrie is\nalso implicated in a series of corruption and money laundering cases at\ntwo other state-owned enterprises, namely PT Asabri and PT Krakatau\nSteel.<\/p>",
