        "content": "<p>Golkar councillors exchange words<\/p>\n<p>MAKASSAR, South Sulawesi: Harsh words between Golkar<br>\ncouncillors marked the provincial legislature's plenary session<br>\nto hear factions' overviews of Governor HZB Palaguna's progress<br>\nreport here on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The furious exchange interrupted the session for 30 minutes,<br>\nbut the council eventually unanimously approved the governor's<br>\nannual report.<\/p>\n<p>The row started when Golkar spokesman Anas Genda questioned<br>\nPalaguna's failure to clarify some projects allegedly tainted by<br>\ncorruption.<\/p>\n<p>Anas was quickly met with protest from his colleagues,<br>\nincluding council speaker Amin Syam, who said that the issue had<br>\nalready been settled during the just concluded recess.<\/p>\n<p>Amin then called for a break to discuss the discrepancy.<\/p>\n<p>Palaguna, who attended the session, hailed the debate as a<br>\nlearning process toward democracy.<\/p>\n<p>Golkar dominates the council with 44 out of 74 seats.
