        "content": "<p>Golkar candidates chosen<\/p>\n<p>BANDA ACEH, Aceh: The Golkar Party has chosen Malik Raden and<br>\nSayed Fuad Zakaria as party's candidates in the gubernatorial<br>\nelection here in April next year.<\/p>\n<p>The two were chosen after they won most votes in the party<br>\nelection recently against another pair of candidates Ridwan Yahya<br>\nand Sanusi Ali.<\/p>\n<p>Malik is a leading educationist and a member of the Regional<br>\nRepresentative Council (DPD) representing Aceh province, while<br>\nSayed is the chairman of Aceh's Golkar chapter and the speaker of<br>\nthe Aceh Provincial Legislative Council.<\/p>\n<p>The election on Wednesday was attended by 180 Golkar leaders<br>\nacross Aceh province.<\/p>\n<p>Salaiman Abda, a leading Golkar figure in Aceh, said on<br>\nSaturday that Malik and Sayed were the best choice. Salaiman<br>\ndescribed them as honest, clean and popular among the Acehnese<br>\npeople.<\/p>\n<p>Besides Golkar Party, other parties in the province have also<br>\npicked their candidates such as Reform Star Party which had<br>\nchosen pair Maj. Gen. Tamlica Ali and Mukhlis Muchtar as<br>\ncandidates for Aceh governor and deputy governor.
