Shares of PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) opened sharply lower by 3.73% at Rp 3,610 on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, mirroring a decline in global gold prices amid expectations of higher interest rates and Middle East geopolitical tensions. Investment specialist Ahmad Faris Mu’tashim noted that the 18% drop in gold prices since the Eid al-Fitr holiday could lead to a short-term gap down for gold sector stocks, though fundamentals remain supported by earnings from the late 2025 rally reflected in Q4 2025 and Q1 2026 reports. The negative impact of the current correction is not expected to affect earnings until Q2 2026.",

Thus, in terms of short-term fundamentals, this sector still
has support from the earnings side.

Conversely, the negative impact from the current gold price
correction will only start to be reflected in the Q2-2026 financial
reports.

“In terms of earning potential, the rally since September will be
reflected in the Q4 2025 and Q1 2026 reports. The impact of the gold
price correction on earnings will only be reflected in the Q2 2026
report,” he explained.
",
