Two primary products, UBS gold and Gallery 24, both\nexperienced price decreases compared to the previous day, following the\ntrend of weakening global gold prices.<\/p>\n<p>UBS gold prices today were fixed at Rp3,055,000 per gram, whilst\nGallery 24 gold was priced at Rp3,039,000 per gram. Both experienced an\naverage decline of approximately Rp27,000 per gram.<\/p>\n<p>The decline in gold prices was driven by the release of US economic\ndata showing that inflation remained sufficiently resilient, thereby\nstrengthening the position of the US Dollar. This caused the prices of\ncommodities denominated in US Dollars, including gold, to become more\nexpensive for holders of other currencies and suppressed demand.<\/p>\n<p>Despite experiencing a downward trend, gold remains a safe-haven\ninvestment instrument favoured by Indonesian investors for the long\nterm.
