        "content": "<p>Goh visits NZ, focusing on trade<\/p>\n<p>WELLINGTON (Reuter): Singaporean Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong<br>\narrived in New Zealand yesterday for a four-day official visit<br>\nexpected to focus on trade.<\/p>\n<p>Goh flew into Christchurch and will tour the International<br>\nAntarctic Visitors Center there before leaving for the capital<br>\nWellington to meet Prime Minister Jim Bolger, an official<br>\nstatement said.<\/p>\n<p>The two leaders attended last week&apos;s Asia-Pacific Economic<br>\nCooperation (APEC) summit in Indonesia which agreed to create the<br>\nworld&apos;s biggest free trade zone by 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Goh, who is to visit Auckland tomorrow and Thursday, will<br>\nwitness the signing of joint venture agreements in<br>\ntelecommunications, tourism and education.<\/p>\n<p>By the end of 1993, New Zealand was Singapore&apos;s fifth largest<br>\ninvestment destination, with total direct equity investment,<br>\nincluding in property, standing at about New Zealand $1.5 billion<br>\n(US$935 million).<\/p>",
