I was therefore<br>\nsad and shocked to learn that the Goethe Institut would be closed<br>\ndown.<\/p>\n<p>After its cultural role had been terminated, its role now<br>\nlimited to functioning as an agent to develop the German<br>\nlanguage, the Goethe Institut will no longer be operating in<br>\nSurabaya. In addition, the Goethe Institut in Medan has been<br>\nclosed down, and it was said that the Goethe Institut in Bandung,<br>\nWest Java will follow suit.<\/p>\n<p>With German technology and industrial products increasingly<br>\ngaining ground in Indonesia, Goethe, Schubert, Schopenhauer,<br>\nCaspar David Friedrich, Murnau and others are continuously fading<br>\naway.
