        "content": "<p>During the holy month of Ramadan, the Riau Regional Police Force\n(Polda Riau) has continued its commitment to creating a development\nprogramme for Generation Z through the \u2018Go Sprint Go Green\u2019 initiative.\nThis strategic step by the police aims to direct the significant\npotential of young people towards productive activities, distance them\nfrom negative behaviour, and instil values of environmental\nstewardship.<\/p>\n<p>The Head of the Riau Regional Police Traffic Directorate (Dirlantas),\nSenior Commissioner of Police Jeki Rahmat Mustika, stated that the\nactivity not only benefits public health but also generates positive\neconomic impact, particularly for micro and small enterprise (UMKM)\noperators who participated in the event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Go Sprint Go Green activity not only benefits public health and\nyoung people, but also acts as an economic catalyst for UMKM operators\nwho take part. We hope that activities such as this will continue to\ncreate positive impact for the broader community,\u201d said Senior\nCommissioner Jeki Rahmat Mustika on Sunday, 15 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Senior Commissioner Jeki also urged all participants and visitors to\nmaintain order and comply with traffic regulations during the event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe also remind all participants and community members present to\ncomply with traffic regulations and together maintain cleanliness and\nenvironmental care,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The seventh edition of \u2018Go Sprint Go Green\u2019 was held on Saturday, 14\nMarch 2026 in the evening on MH Thamrin Street, Pekanbaru City. The\nrunning competition attracted 276 participants comprising male, female,\nand children\u2019s categories.<\/p>\n<p>The event was opened by the Deputy Head of Riau Regional Police\nTraffic Directorate, Senior Captain of Police Budi Setiyono, accompanied\nby the Head of the Traffic Directorate\u2019s Legal and Discipline\nSub-section, Senior Captain of Police Galih Apria. The presence of these\nRiau Regional Police Traffic Directorate officials demonstrated full\nsupport for positive activities promoting healthy lifestyles and serving\nas a platform for youth development.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond being a sporting event, \u2018Go Sprint Go Green\u2019 also served as a\nmeans to strengthen community bonds whilst encouraging young people to\nengage in physical activity and environmental care.<\/p>\n<p>Head of the Legal and Discipline Sub-section of Riau Regional Police\nTraffic Directorate, Senior Captain of Police Galih Apria, stated that\nthe activity was not merely a sporting competition but also part of\nefforts to build the character of young people to be healthy,\ndisciplined, and possess sportsmanlike spirit.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough the Go Sprint Go Green activity, we want to provide a\npositive space for young people to channel their energy through healthy\nand beneficial activities.
