Jakarta (ANTARA) \u2014 A security guard at the residence of former Vice\nPresident of the Republic of Indonesia Jusuf Kalla suspects that a\nconvex road mirror and the property\u2019s fence were struck by a female\ndriver with the initials AP (35) who was allegedly intoxicated.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe driver of this vehicle was probably drunk. She hit this post,\nand then the car went straight through,\u201d said Alim, a security guard at\nJusuf Kalla\u2019s (JK) residence, speaking to journalists in Jakarta on\nWednesday.<\/p>\n
Alim said the incident occurred at approximately 04:00 Western\nIndonesian Time, with the driver approaching from the direction of\nKemang. The vehicle was reportedly carrying one woman and two men.<\/p>\n
The single-vehicle accident damaged the convex road mirror and the\nproperty fence. \u201cThe glass was damaged, and then the fence. It collapsed\ninwards,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He confirmed that JK\u2019s residence is currently occupied by one of the\nformer vice president\u2019s children. The driver is presently in mediation\nwith the relevant parties.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe mediation process is still ongoing,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Based on observations at the scene at approximately 15:30 Western\nIndonesian Time, two workers were seen repairing the black fence damaged\nin the accident.<\/p>\n
Jalan Brawijaya IV appeared quiet, with few motor vehicles passing\nthrough.<\/p>\n
Police confirmed a single-vehicle accident (loss of control)\ninvolving a car with registration plate B 2931 SZM driven by AP\n(35).<\/p>\n
The driver admitted to negligence and has pledged to fully compensate\nall losses resulting from her actions. Following the incident, the\ndriver left her vehicle registration certificate and driving licence at\nthe scene.<\/p>\n
Previously, police suspected the female driver with the initials HP\n(35) who crashed into the fence of JK\u2019s residence in the Kebayoran Baru\narea of South Jakarta had been drowsy at the time.<\/p>\n
Police confirmed there were no injuries or fatalities as a result of\nthe incident.
