        "content": "<p>YOGYAKARTA \u2013 The daughter of the Yogyakarta Palace, GKR Mangkubumi,\nhas stated her readiness to support the utilisation of Sultanate land if\nneeded for infrastructure development, including transport modes,\nparticularly railway services in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY).\nShe even hopes that the railway line will reach Bantul Regency or be\nrestored as it was before, in line with the high demand for public\ntransportation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes, definitely (facilitating the use of Sultanate land if needed\nfor developing railway services -Ed),\u201d she said recently.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo how can we work together to develop the stations and the trains\nthemselves to benefit the community. If possible, the trains can go all\nthe way (to Bantul Regency),\u201d she stated.<\/p>\n<p>GKR Mangkubumi conveyed that the railway is one of the favourite\ntransport modes in DIY based on data from the Yogyakarta Railway\nOperational Area 6. According to her, the high number of passengers\noften makes the current service capacity crowded, thus requiring further\ndevelopment.<\/p>\n<p>The future development is expected to focus on increasing station\ncapacity and passenger comfort without damaging cultural heritage areas.\n\u201cWe want the stations in Yogyakarta to be better in line with the hopes\nof the Head of the Railway Operational Area,\u201d she revealed.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to promoting the development of the line, Mangkubumi also\nopens opportunities for the use of land owned by the Ngayogyakarta\nHadiningrat Palace or Sultan Ground to support public transport\ninfrastructure.
