        "content": "<p>Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka arrived in Maumere, Sikka\nRegency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), on Thursday to review the\npost-earthquake response together with Coordinating Minister for Human\nDevelopment and Culture Pratikno.<\/p>\n<p>During the visit, Gibran also brought along six university students\nwho will carry out trauma healing for the earthquake victims.<\/p>\n<p>Gibran arrived in Maumere at around 13.00 Central Indonesia Time\n(WITA) and immediately headed to the affected locations.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) reported\nthat as of Wednesday (19\/8) at 20.00 WIB, a total of 71 fatalities had\nbeen recorded as a result of the earthquake that struck the NTT\nregion.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the total number of displaced people across NTT currently\nstands at 59,647, with the largest concentration of evacuees in\nManggarai.<\/p>\n<p>As of Tuesday (18\/8) at 18.00 WIB, air logistics distribution had\nreached 165 tonnes, with total aid delivered from 15\u201318 August 2026\namounting to 398 tonnes. Aid continues to be sent primarily via land\nroutes.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry of Health has also activated nine Health Emergency\nOperation Centre (HEOC) health facilities to strengthen coordination,\nmonitor the situation, and ensure that health needs following the\nmagnitude 7.7 earthquake in NTT can be promptly addressed.<\/p>\n<p>The government has disbursed approximately Rp44 billion for disaster\nmanagement in NTT, according to the Ministry of Finance as of Wednesday\n(19\/8).<\/p>",
