        "content": "<p>Thousands of kilograms of corn were harvested in the agricultural\narea of the Banjar Tarukan Kaja Agricultural Department, Pejeng Kaja\nVillage, Tampaksiring District. This corn harvest is a commitment by the\nGianyar Police to support food security and the free nutritious meal\n(MBG) programme.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Gianyar Police, local government, and related stakeholders\ncarried out the 2nd Quarter Simultaneous Corn Harvest,\u201d said Gianyar\nPolice Chief AKBP Chandra Kesuma in a statement on Saturday\n(16\/5\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Chandra said that 5.04 tonnes of sweetcorn were harvested from an\narea of 4,500 square metres. All the harvest was symbolically handed\nover to representatives of the community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to show Polri\u2019s commitment in supporting government\nprogrammes in the field of food security,\u201d said Chandra.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the corn harvest, a new nutritional service unit\n(SPPG) was inaugurated in Gianyar. The SPPG Polres Gianyar II, located\nin Banjar Padang Sigi, Sanding Village, Tampaksiring District, was\ninaugurated today.<\/p>\n<p>Chandra said that the inauguration of the new SPPG was in support of\ngovernment programmes, namely to support the community nutrition\nprogramme.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is also our commitment to improving the quality of nutrition for\nthe community,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The inauguration was marked by a video presentation, the unveiling of\na plaque, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a group photo and a direct\ninspection of the facilities of the SPPG Polres Gianyar II.<\/p>\n<p>The event was also attended by the Vice Regent of Gianyar, Anak Agung\nGde Mayun, Dandim 1616\/Gianyar Letkol Kav Rizal Wijaya, officials from\nthe Tampaksiring sub-district, community leaders, Bhayangkari (Police\nWives Association), foundation administrators and regional coordinators\nof the SPPG in Gianyar Regency. \u201cIt was inaugurated directly by the\nPresident of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, via virtual\nconnection,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>(hsa\/hsa)<\/p>",
