        "content": "<p>Plans for the construction of the giant sea wall continue to\nprogress. The Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) has\noutlined its developments.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Minister of KKP Didit Herdiawan Ashaf stated that the\ngovernment is currently conducting research and analysis on the giant\nsea wall project. The sea wall is planned to be built in the middle of\nthe sea off the north coast of Java or Pantura Jawa.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt will be built in the middle of the sea. About four to six\nkilometres from the shoreline,\u201d said Didit in Surabaya on Friday, 24\nApril 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Didit, who also serves as Head of the North Java Coast Management\nAuthority, explained that construction is planned to take place soon.\nPrimarily after the construction of the Fishermen\u2019s Villages, which is\nPresident Prabowo\u2019s priority programme.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause there are two programmes within it (giant sea wall), there\nis the groundbreaking for the programme and groundbreaking for\ninfrastructure. All these facilities aim\nto optimise fishermen\u2019s work.<\/p>\n<p>According to Isa, the East Java Provincial Government has proposed 40\nFishermen\u2019s Villages for construction. \u201cIt will depend on field\nverification. Whether all 40 are feasible to build or not,\u201d Isa\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>Isa continued that the fishermen\u2019s villages will be supervised and\nmanaged directly by four representatives from the Ministry of Marine\nAffairs and Fisheries.
