Police are partnering with traffic assistant volunteers (Supeltas)\nduring Operasi Ketupat Lodaya 2026 in Bogor Regency, West Java. Dozens\nof Supeltas are being mobilised to secure the alternative route in the\nPuncak area.<\/p>\n
\u201cOn the 12th day of the operation, all personnel from the Megamendung\nPolice Sector are positioned at key traffic points, with the Supeltas\nteam divided into three regions,\u201d said Megamendung Police Chief AKP Desi\nTriana on Tuesday (24\/3\/2026).<\/p>\n
In synergy with the Supeltas, traffic police from the Bogor Regency\nPolice can more easily monitor conditions and secure the alternative\nroute to ensure smooth vehicle flow. Concerns among tourists about\ndirection guides who hike prices have also been addressed.<\/p>\n
\u201cThanks to our compact teamwork, the route to Puncak, although\nexperiencing traffic slowdowns, remains safely monitored and conducive,\nwith wheels keeping turning,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n
One Supeltas volunteer, Ahmad Yani, recounted how he became involved.\nHe was motivated to help secure the alternative route in Puncak.<\/p>\n
Because during the holiday season, even the alternative route often\nexperiences congestion. Thus, this 46-year-old man was moved to assist\nin easing traffic on the alternative route.<\/p>\n
\u201cYes, to reduce\u2026 reduce congestion, help people who are stuck in\ntraffic, so that the route flows smoothly,\u201d he said while directing\ntraffic.<\/p>\n
He is stationed around Simpang Gadog in Ciawi Subdistrict. Ahmad has\nbeen on duty since the start of Operasi Ketupat. He plans to continue\nuntil Sunday.<\/p>\n
He receives some compensation money for his services in directing\ntraffic. At his post, most of the passing vehicles are motorbikes.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf here, mostly motorbikes that are busy,\u201d he shared.<\/p>\n
During last Eid, he also served directing traffic. Nevertheless, he\nfeels happy because he can help others.<\/p>\n
\u201cYes, the joy of helping others so that things flow smoothly,\u201d he\nstated.<\/p>\n
Outside of his Supeltas duties, he offers services as a motorcycle\ntaxi driver. He often waits for passengers around Ciawi Subdistrict.
